The Mountain View Icity project, completed in 2023, is a landmark development located in New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. This project involved extensive waterproofing of the retaining walls to ensure long-term durability and structural integrity. The waterproofing work was expertly carried out by City Build, led by Eng. Arnest Fayez. The specification for the waterproofing solutions was meticulously managed by Beton and Xypex Egypt, under the guidance of Eng. Amr Saad. Xypex Concentrate was the chosen material for this project, known for its advanced crystalline technology. This innovative material penetrates deeply into the concrete, becoming an integral part of the structure, and provides permanent waterproofing by sealing pores and micro-cracks. Xypex Concentrate not only resists extreme hydrostatic pressure but also allows the concrete to breathe, ensuring enhanced durability and resilience. This application underscores the effectiveness of Xypex Concentrate in delivering robust waterproofing solutions, crucial for the success and longevity of the Mountain View Icity development.
