Armonia Compound

For the new Armonia Compound in New Capital, Egypt, Xypex Concentrate was essential in providing comprehensive concrete waterproofing solutions for various critical concrete structures, including roofs, foundations, reservoirs, swimming pools, and landscapes. The project’s owner, TLD, alongside main contractors El Tayebi and Asass, and consultants ANP & Partners, required a robust waterproofing system capable of withstanding the harsh environmental conditions and ensuring long-term durability. The waterproofing subcontractor, City Build, led by Engineer Arnest Fayez, collaborated closely with Beton Technical Office, Xypex Egypt, and Engineer Amr Saad to specify the application of Xypex Concentrate.

Xypex Concentrate is a unique crystalline technology that creates a non-soluble crystalline formation within the concrete. This effectively blocks water pathways and enhances the durability and impermeability of the concrete structures. This approach was particularly critical for ensuring the integrity and longevity of the project’s diverse structures, which include vital infrastructure components such as reservoirs and swimming pools that require stringent waterproofing standards.
