Alexandria Specialty Petroleum Products Co.

The Alexandria Specialty Petroleum Products Company completed a major wastewater project in 2024 to upgrade its infrastructure in Alexandria, Egypt. This project aimed to improve the durability and integrity of the concrete structures in the wastewater system. To achieve these goals, Xypex Admix C-1000 NF was incorporated into the concrete mix. This addition made the concrete waterproof and chemically resistant from within while also enabling it to self-heal cracks up to 0.5 mm.

Furthermore, Xypex Concentrate was applied to reinforce and repair joints, effectively preventing leaks and enhancing the structures’ watertightness. The project was a collaboration between Beton for Consulting & Construction Chemicals and the contractor, Black Rhino, with guidance from the consultant I.E.G. The use of Xypex products significantly extended the lifespan of the wastewater management infrastructure, thereby supporting the long-term operational efficiency of the Alexandria Specialty Petroleum Products Company.
