Alamin Project Hamra Port

Hamra Port in Alamin City, on the North Coast of Egypt used Xypex Admix C-1000 NF in the concrete to enhance durability against seawater, specifically targeting the raft slab and buildings over the sea. This method marks a pioneering approach to coastal residential construction, emphasizing long-term structural integrity. Xypex products address critical issues like water penetration, chloride ion attack, cracking, and corrosion that reduce marine structures’ service life. Concrete permeability allows water and chlorides to reach reinforcing steel, initiating corrosion. This problem, coupled with environmental factors, leads to the degradation of concrete structures. Using Xypex Admix C-1000 NF enhances the concrete’s resistance to these damaging processes, ensuring the longevity and integrity of the project’s structures against the challenging marine environment.
